About Us

Over the years of landscaping and managing a home, I struggled with the ongoing high costs of lawn & yard maintenance, finding companies that could offer genuine native-focused services, and creating a balanced and safe space to raise our family. It was a full-time job, and I knew others would experience similar challenges. So I decided to take things into my own hands and launched Pollinative in 2024.Pollinative is a new kind of landscaping company. We demystify and remove barriers to going native. We challenge the culturally accepted well-maintained yard. By improving our balance with nature, we are improving the communities in which we operate, saving the environment, and saving our customers money.- Rob Nowell, Founder and CEO

Resources

Our vision is to simplify and promote the concept of "going native," making it easy, accessible, and affordable for everyone. We share entomologist and ecologist Doug Tallamy's vision for the American yard, and we aspire to contribute to the cause of at-home national parks not only across the country but globally. Here are three easy ways you can get involved today:

  • Donate to the Farm's Community Compost @8107 Carrick Ln. Curbside. Food scraps, coffee/tea, brown cardboard, and other compostable items.

  • Stop paying for broadband pest control and mosquito spray. 93% of bugs are beneficial to the environment. There are many low-impact pest control providers to choose from that help keep our environment safe.

  • Commit to reducing your traditional lawn by 50% in 3 years. We’ll build you the plan to get you there. Register your yard at https://homegrownnationalpark.org/.
